Quick hack idea, open up an image with outlines of the resolutions you are targeting in a tab. Resize briefer window to fit the lines, change tabs to your game.
Mistakes were made.

Chrome has a "Window Resizer" plugin that lets you do things like that.

http://quirktools.com/screenfly/

is a handy tool for testing different screen sizes.

just type in your local C2 IP address as the URL you want to test eg: 192.168.1.10:50000

bump - plus update.

does anyone have a nice sample app i could reference that would address this? i'm basically scrapping my project to start over and i need to build it with the right approach. i'm checking the tutorials but no sample capx.

the issue i'm dealing with is still the same issue.. i know i could center things and leave empty space below and above but that looks weird.. portrait games usually have HUD type stuff hug the bottom and top of the screen.
