Do you just test it in a bunch of devices or do you use emulators? I want to know alternative ways for people with few devices =S

Never bother with emulator, I find it does not pick up bugs, because its running in a pristine environment, whereas a real device often have way too many background processes running that will affect stability as well as performance and collision checks.

I use real devices, a phone and a tablet.

Also, the emulator in Intel XDK/Crosswalk doesn't pick up sound bugs at all, but on a real device... oh boy.Silverforce2014-02-18 05:14:17

Now i used a service called Apkudo that test your app in ~250 devices, it tells me the app installed correctly in 122 devices and in 96 had install problems or ANR (Android not responding) problems

The only good an emulator is; is for resolutio display testing. By no means is it good for performance testing.

I have a [horrid] android tablet and an iPod Touch 4th Gen that I test with. I don't have access to much other than that so I just have to hope for the best :D Looking to get an Android phone soon.
