How does the Ghost 'Rain' Demo lighting work?

Hello,

I was taking a look at the Rain demo and I was wondering what I would have to do with the layers, blend, objects, and etc to implement a modified version of the same feature into my own game.

I'm still new to Construct, and even though I've done some tutorials I find it a little bit confusing. I should be fine once I finish my prototype.

If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the lighting.capx that comes in the examples folder.

That one seems easily repeatable for my own prototype, but it's not as complex as the one in the Rain Demo. Could someone give me some pointers?
