How to change the default image editor ?

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Fri Apr 15, 2011 5:30 pm

I know the FAQ mentions to the fact of calling an external image editor is only temporary but, currently, on my computer, it opens Adobe Image Ready but it saves only in psd so I can't load the image in Construct (or at least, it doesn't work the way I do it..).

How can I change the image editor being called ? It's probably a windows file association but if you could point me which value Construct is looking for I'll manage to change it :)

Thank you!

How i did:

Edit this key on Regedit:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\shell\edit\command

with ( example) : "E:\Programs\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe" "%1"

Yeah I found this trick but it's probably not the only thing to change since this key is set to mspaint.exe and construct still launches Abode ImageReady

You need to look under file extensions (namely .png), the shell stuff is for right click context menu.
