How to create a viewer FPS on screen?

Wanted to make a good fps viewer screen for my game having ta drop frame on Android.
I can not find in the Scirra tutorials how to do it.

Could someone help me?

Not sure if I understand your question, you want to display FPS onscreen so you can test on android?

If so, just use the global variable fps and display it in a text box either every tick or every X seconds etc. To get a better idea of the real rate, also calculate an average and display both values.

The game ta running between 17-20 fps.

yes, that's bad. I suggest read the performance tips. Also Android browsers suck for speed right now. May not be until Android 5 where that is fixed. In the mean time use CocoonJS. be ware of bad rendering decision :P good luck

@Ashley, the Ghost Shooter 'Rain Demo' version runs very poorly on my Nexus 7, Chrome browser, with WebGL enabled. Like between 10-15 FPS.

Is this to be expected? I know there are a lot of effects going on there, but I'm just curious.

@dvinmn - it's a game specially designed to show off as many effects as possible. It has something like 7-8 layers, most of which have shaders going on. Mobiles really struggle with that kind of thing, it's really designed as a desktop game.
