You mean something like this?
Image

Create a sprite with the lightning ray (static or animated).
When you fire your weapon, spawn this sprite, adjust its angle and width so it connects your weapon with the target.

You might want to add several variations of the ray image/animation and select one of them at random.

Did I help to fix a problem in your game? You can buy me a cup of coffee :) If you'd like to hire me, please see this post

Thanks dop2000, but this is last solution. I am sure there will be someway to draw thunder lightning lines in realtime with bolt effect.

Using search, I found this: https://www.scirra.com/forum/create-an-lighningt-bolt-als-weapon_p1145340?#p1145340.

You should be able to customise for your needs.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.
