How to create mass bullets without being Einsten ?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Jun 18, 2013 12:18 am

Hey guys :)

I'm really wondering how, in a lot of shoot'em up games, they handle all those very beautiful mass bullets choregraphy.

Of course I imagine this has something related with algorithms?

I think that, even in construct 2, it might be quite difficult for a non mathematic guy like me to do it. But, is there sort of 'tricks' or 'plugins' or 'formula' that can be easly applyed ?

If not, I will have to do just like Neo, and avoid the bullets in slowmo!

I am sorry but I don't understand what it is you want. Do you have an example? From Youtube or something else?

@KaMiZoTo
The Best for Shoot'em Up "Bullet Hell" is BulletML.
But as i know there is only a plugin for Construct Classic (ported by Luomu) .. more info at:

http://www.scirra.com/forum/plugin-bulletml_topic40564.html

.. and here you can find his reposity of BulletML for CC:

https://github.com/Luomu/BulletML

One of thousands games that use BulletML (but not is Construct2 is in C++ OpenGL) is that "rRootage":

The original Lib is created by a Japanese guy (Kenta Cho) and i read somewhere that this lib is used too in some very famous arcade COIN-OP games!!

There is anyone that can port to Construct 2?
Anyway i suppose that is much "heavy" for math used (at least for a mobile porting).

Any other know more about?

Super easy... Take a look at the Space Blaster example .capx that is included with Construct 2.

Thank you all for you answers. :)

@Tekniko Yes, Space Blaster has some bullet behaviors but I was thinking about something much more complex. You're right, I should have put a video example.

@Nasty Very interesting sources. I agree a dedicated plugin like BulletML for C2 would be awesome!

@WhiteClaws Nice example. How do you do that ? An invisible rotating dummy in the center that generates bullets ?

@Kyatric Je vais aller voir a! :)
