How to display damage and exp earned?

Get help using Construct 2

So I saw this:

(Game made in Construct Classic by http://www.scirra.com/users/fervir)

So I wanted to ask,
if someone knows how to do this on C2 but for a platformer game,
not an 8-direction game.

Any ideas?

Yeah so prepare text object, event 'every tick' and variable called DAMAGE. when projectile hits oponent, oponent spawn text object and! every tick set text object to text 'damage' (variable). Got it?delgado2013-08-09 20:00:34

Okay, It's working,
it spawns the text,
but how to make that movement?
I tried giving platform behaviour to the text and simulating jump control,
but it doesn't work.
Any idea?

Use bullet behavior with gravity.
