Post » Sun Feb 12, 2012 7:08 pm

Hi,

I'm new to construct 2 and i wonder how to make animations, like how to create a character that moves her eyes, head etc..is there a way to import animation (GIF or other file format)? or is there a way to create basic animation in construct 2?

Thanks,

create a sprite and in the image editor you have the "Animation Frames" window, right click there and "import frames". there, select your gif.

@amir simple drag your GIF inside a Construct 2 Scenario and it will make the magic for you.

You can do the same while selecting various GIF files, also, you can drag and drop inside the sprite editor too.

Hi,

Sorry for posting in a stale topic, but does Scirra take into account the frame holds on your animation frames? like if frame 2 had a 1 second animation hold?

@Idea Wing
Not sure, but I doubt it. Generally the import should consist of equally sized frames.

Easy enough to test, though, so just try it and see.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.
