How to make a falling object?

Get help using Construct 2

I am using a bullet sprite but am not sure if that's the right one. I am basically spawning a sprite on the layout, then it falls straight down. Any tips would be appreciated, so far I can only get an angle to work and I don't know what angle to use for straight down.

Have you tried creating a sprite and adding platform behavior? I know that will fall from the creation point down until it hits a sprite that has a solid behavior.

If you want it to fall straight down you must set the bullet angle of motion to 90. If you really want it to fall you can play with the acceleration or just use the platform behavior.

Use the platform behavior and disable the default controls on the object so it doesn't move when you hit the arrows. Also destroy outside of layout is helpful it if is going to fall off the screen, in order to save on memory.

Thanks for all of those tips! I think I'll try to add platform behavior and see where that takes me, that might be a better way to do it. Thanks again.
