How to make my own sprites and tile backgrounds?

Get help using Construct 2

Hi everyone, I'm new to C2, please excuse my English, I'm Asian.

I'm having trouble trying to make my own sprites and tile backgrounds with Inkscape. What file extension should I save them as, and what size should I set them to? Also, does anyone know how to make 3D graphics with Inkscape?

Please help me, thanks a lot.

inkscape is a vector editor right? so you need to export as jpg or png. png is pretty much the standard cause its lossless and supports transparency

@aridale: thanks for your reply. I've exported a sprite to my project as png, but it was too big so I've tried resizing it to 48x48pxl, but it disappeared for some reason. I don't really know about the sizes of C2 games, sprites and tilebackgrounds, any suggestions please?

@Ubivis: thanks for the video, it was helpful.

its probably just the scale in inkscape. anything 2048x2048 or smaller and still a power of 2 should be fine in c2 on any platform
