How to save the column width in event sheet?

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Sat Feb 02, 2013 1:00 pm

Hi all,

After I change the font size, the text occupy more lines.
Then I adjust the column width to make it in one line again.
After I re-run C2, the column width reset to small one.

How to save the column width in event sheet?
(It is very inconvenient to adjust over and over again)

Thanks in advance

I don't think you can do it ... 1 text object can contain multiple instances , some bigger than others and saving the width woudn't work because it would be all the same for all the text boxes ...

A 1 min act can save you from hours of coding

Construct 2 does save the column widths and other UI state, but only when you save your project. So if you change them and quit without saving, your changes won't be remembered.

Hi Ashley,

I test this on win 7:
The column width is auto-adjusted so that all text could be seen. No saving.

(I tested it on win xp this morning. No auto-adjust or saving column is available. I will confirm xp next day again)

Please check.sammyconstruct2013-02-02 17:07:56

I test with win xp.

Conclusion:
Column width is auto-adjusted.
When we use large font, this auto-adjust function does not function properly. No matter you save your file or not.
