Hey guys, fairly new here.
I'm looking for a tutorial or document describing how to create a beat-em-up style level structure.
What I mean is to have a simulated 3d floor ( xyz axis ) similar to what you see in games like Streets of Rage and Castle Crashers.
The only real suggestions I've seen is to make the character shadow the main collision object, which seems like a nice simple way of doing things.
There wasn't any more depth that this though, I was wondering if anyone could offer a more in depth guide of how to do this.
