@cs2curious you might be interested in the Spriter project. Note it's third party, not directly affiliated with Scirra.
Agreed, only thing im not really likeing about it is its a pain in the ass to animate anything ( i use image points, move move them, and have my parts get the rotation between the two points) this way i can change armor, monsters etc simply by changing arm head torso graphics etc
Animation is a serious backlog to any project of any scope. Just remember that games that you play probably have 1-10+ animators on the project. I always tell artists that if you can animate for games well you will never be out of a job.

Take $ 79 a call, if you can find a way and a desire to pay this amount, then you really want to make games on the Construct. And the way it can be different. I made a website, and was licensed as a gift to work. Now my friends and I earn, so that everyone in our small team was on the license. Because this respect, it should be.

whats ironic is i dont really need what the standard version offers other than being able to make more than 100 events, and being able to sell the game,(from what i can tell) families are pretty irrelivent for how i code, if the enemy is different, his arms legs etc will go to different animation layer,
if i want the same thing to happen to different objectrs il call functions
and have it target it via the id

You mean you don't need anything other than the main benefits of the standard version?

If it isn't worth $79 to you just don't buy it.

It sounds to me like you're enjoying using Construct 2 though, and that the standard licence would be of value to you, and as others have mentioned it's a cheaper licence than a lot of other products.

As you yourself mentioned, you can sell games with the standard licence, so don't forget that if you make good games you should be able to make some or all of the money back.
You could get a game salad subscription for 500 dollars a year. ;)
I don't know if I should cry or laugh @ this price.
