  • I cant count how many times people have asked for a native compiler/export feature.

Thats the biggest let down for me. We have had problems with iOS and Android for over 3-4 years. And it take A LONG time for the 3rd party to fix issues. Even right now, music / sounds and crashes are happening on iOS +10.

Meaning we can not make apps and games for iOS right now with sounds and music. Its terrible.

I have no words.. They should atleast have native exporters and compilers. Hundreds or Thousands have spoken about this, but have been ignored for years.

And Scirra stated in the early stages of C3 development that there won't be native exporters. It has been asked numerous times, and Ashley even wrote a blog post about this: https://www.scirra.com/blog/ashley/28/t ... ve-engines

Dude the audio problem on IOS is not a Construct or HTML5 problem , it's an IOS bug , go and ask apple's support

  • I think the original post doesn't talk about native exporters but rather exporting offline/locally rather than online, could be wrong though.

Well, since we will be able to run the editor offline, I guess that includes exporting offline as well.

we all know that , we just say dont do that (the html5) or at least have some native runtime for html5 wich you can remove 3rd party bugs

It's not, i have released the same sort of app with a different engine. Works great

  • Tom said just to be clear, even though Construct 3 is a web app, it WILL work offline. And you'll be able to save all your project files and assets locally OR in the cloud.

  • And there you have it

We've been clear on this for a long time - we're not doing native exporters. I wrote about this in detail here: https://www.scirra.com/blog/ashley/28/the-case-against-native-engines

In many cases, doing a native engine won't actually get people what they're asking for - e.g. it won't improve GPU-bottlenecked games. We've also been clear that 3D amounts to a different product so we're sticking to 2D. There's nothing new about any of this.
