220 Food Sprites in 16x16 pixel size. Perfect for items for a retro style game.
  • Hi ,

    This is basic question

The artist of my game want to know the size of sprites , background and tiled background

I'm still learning Construct 2 but I don't know the perfect size

I've read that the tiled need to be a power of two

    what about the others ?

is it good to make her draw the biggest size possible then I'll resize it in photoshop ? because I'm afraid I'll give her the wrong sizes and she will only draw once

    Thank you :D

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi,

I'm having a similar issue. Normal sprites can be any size, but try to keep it reasonable. 512x512 seems to be a good size to work within.

Your idea about photoshop is probably best.

    Sorry I couldn't help more.

  • I suggest you draw at a larger size and then rescale so that each dimension is within a power of two. i.e., 64x128 or 512x256 etc Although I tend to make 2 pixels small so that there is a clear border of transparent pixels.

I find that graphics is a compromise. My current project is 25MB in size and I feel it takes a long time to start using cocoonjs etc if the size was to get any larger I believe the game take way too long to start.
