Implementing 8-Direction with Jump

Get help using Construct 2

I'm trying to work out how I should, work out a 8-Directional movement system, similar to the one currently available as a behavior, but adding another layer of depth.

By this I mean being able to move up, down, left, right & jump.
I also want to consider being able to jump attack, being able to attack enemies which are also in the air.

- My idea for this is to check if enemy is in the air, if Yes, then making it attack-able.

This idea is best demonstrated by this video..

I also considered a platformer behavior but adding the depth into moving up and down.

Any suggestions?

The simplest way I can think of add jumping to 8direction movement is to use a hidden object with the platform behavior to get your jump height from and set it up like this:

Genius.

I'm trying to build on this example to allow the player to hop up onto a isometric platform - like a crate for example.

I imagine you'd have to create an object representing the top of the box, and when the player comes in contact with it, snap the shadow to the players position and re pin it together again? Or is there an easier way to accomplish this.

On top of the box the player should be able to move around in 8 dir again, and when they walk off the edge they drop down to the ground again.

any ideas?
