Import an Eventsheet into another

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Mon Jan 23, 2012 11:10 am

Hey Guys

I've seen it done somewhere, but I can't find the reference anymore. SO here the question. I would like to gather all global varables in on sheet and then import it into all other event sheets....

Any ideas?

You don't need to import global variables to other event sheets. Global variables are automatically accessible everywhere in the project, regardless of whether the event sheet is included anywhere.

You can include an event sheet in another. Right click on the main event sheet, and select Include Event Sheet.

@vtrix: If you make a new event sheet, create/cut-paste all your global variables in the sheet, you absolutely DON'T need to include it.

Just having this event sheet in the project is enough.Kyatric2012-01-23 17:43:16

ow yes i reacted too quickly, i was thinking he wanted to move every global to one sheet, if you have already connected these globals, once you cut these to place somewhere, all your events will be gone, i think

In fact once you cut the global variable, the related events indeed disppear, but once you paste it, they all are back

I was wondering about the same issue until I tested it and was pleasantaly surprised by that behavior.

I had a situation once where i needed to cut and past all events from a sheet to another . The original sheet had several global variables. When i tried to cut and paste them all in the new sheet(including all global vars) C2 wouldn't allow me saying something about the globals. It should work shouldn't it ? It appears to be a bug.
