Importing Alpha Maps with Animation Images?

For questions about using Classic.

Post » Thu Nov 06, 2008 4:52 am

While importing individual frames from an animation into the picture editor, I noticed that alpha transparency is correctly imported with each image. However, when I import the same individual images as an animation in the animation editor, I get a solid grey background instead of transparency.

Is there something else I have to do in the import options, or is this a bug? It would save me a ton of time if I could import entire animations at once, instead of having to import a frame at a time in the picture editor.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :D

So 'open' in the picture editor for one frame loads alpha correctly - but the import images dialog doesn't? Is that how its working? It sounds like a bug, it should read the alpha properly all the time.

Could you post the image file you're using that doesn't work correctly?

If anyone gets this problem, can they post a .png file here which causes it? Thanks.
