Including a library question

For developers using the Construct 2 Javascript SDK

Post » Fri May 31, 2013 1:22 am

Hi everyone,

I'm building an app that requires the ability to read and parse csv format spreadsheet data. I found a library of jquery functions that does this but I'm fairly new to using libraries. There are two downloads to the library one is a min and one without min in the title. I'm assuming one is minified. Which one do I include in the plugin I'll be making. Or is there a cvs plugin already?

Thank you very much in advance,

Lance

There's already a CSV plugin, you can check Kyatric's post on C2 plugins and behavior list. As for including external libraries, it's possible. You can check C2 official Facebook plugin, or Clay.io plugin, both include external libraries. I have also successfully integrated YUI3 and Backbone framework with C2 :)

You have a number of options - often the easiest is just pasting the library source in to the runtime.js file. Alternatively you can specify it as a dependency.
