Iphone Camera via User Media

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Wed Aug 21, 2013 9:21 pm

Hi Thank you for help!

I want that the user will be able to open my app, and have a button inside that says "take a picture via Camera" and when he press it, it will open the iPhone Camera and he will picture himself or his friend.
then the picture will appear in the app and allow him to make some actions on it (actions that can't be told here).

How can I do that?

thank you very much.

THere have been some mixed results with that. A few months ago that used to work with User Media but it was very buggy. Ultimatevly the funcionality isn't working anymore 'out of the box' from Construct. You can see what Ashely said about it here:

But CocoonJS supports the camera input. There is even a demo about it if you installed the CocoonJS launcher on your phone and there is a demo made by thehen that still works:

Good luck!

Currently iOS don't support (public) WebGL=enable on a Web View

If you want to take a picture an upload to a server i will say go phonegap.

If you want some freedom on working with camera (crop, resize, some filters, instagram like etc) i will say go native.

If you want total freedom on working with camera i will say go OpenGL ES, if you're not good at objective-c / c / c++ you can try Ejecta:
