Hey guys. It's been almost 4 or 6 months since construct 3 has been announced. I was wondering if were going to be able to download C3?

Yes, but after the beta period ends, so not for a while yet.

Hope so. Because me and my crew are ready to use the engine.
Plus, when we make a game using C3, will our project run Mac and Linux without configurations?

I meant when exporting to Mac and Linux. The reason whats stopping us is because we're waiting for the download option. Once downloaded, our programmer will test the engine. If he is satisfy with the engine, I'll buy it. Despite the prescription though because we CAN provide the money, as long the engine will let us export to Mac and Linux without any performance issues or configurations.

The download version will be almost identical to the browser version. The download version is literally the Chromium browser engine bundled with the web version of C3, and a few extra features added for things like local file access. So you can test it right now in the browser, it will pretty much be the same. The web version can export to Windows, Mac and Linux via NW.js and it works already.

So we HAVE to do this stuff online until the download version is out?

Well technically, the "online" version is downloaded it to your system in order to actually run it. Once it's fully downloaded (it'll let you know when it's done), it can be used offline - if that's basically your main issue right now. The "offline" version is going to be pretty much the same app as the "online" version. Except that you'll have to re-download the offline version every single time there's a new update - if you enjoy doing it that way.

If you are willing to put up with the overall caveats of a HTML5 engine, the online version might be the better bet for the simple reason that NW.js (that thing that's going to make the offline version run) is typically a bit behind the chrome browser build. So the online version will benefit from browser bug fixes earlier.
