Can I make 3d models in google sketchup for SC? Will construct accept them?

Yes you can. If it doesn't you can convert the format to the right one. I haven't tried the 3D object in CS but it's likely using .3ds or something common.

It uses the standard basic 3D formats, such as .3ds or .obj so I'm pretty sure you can export those from SketchUp.

Or if you are making simple models this program - is quite neat.
