Is there a limit to amount of picts on a layout?

For questions about using Classic.

I've been working on a test sample game to get a better hang of construct before I get the real project moving. But I'm having an issue. Construct wouldn't let me copy/paste anymore objects on the screen last night. Actually nothing would happen. I did everything correct and it should have pasted the dirt blocks so that I could move them to where I wanted them but it wouldn't show the blocks after supposedly pasting them anymore? So does construct have it's limits on object or sprite amounts or something?
I believe the size of my layout was something close to 2000 x 3000 if that helps....
Anyone have any ideas here?

There are no limits to the number of objects you can have.
Does the issue still occur if you save, close construct and reopen?

Perhaps the objects are being pasted to the non-layout layer which is not drawn. It has happened once before here:

Try selecting a layer before pasting.

there's no limit, it'll let you add them until your pc can't do it anymore, which is probably thousands
