@gorgonzola3000

THIS. IS. FANTASTIC.
How many time have you spent on this beauty?
Also, why no video on youtube? I wanted to spread the word and found nothing there.
Keep up the brilliant work!

@Ashley @Tom Look at the facebook page, the video featuring the tree! I'd put this on the Scirra home asap <3
That's exactly the type of game C2 need to shine on the indie scene! : )

Wow, this is beautiful. The style and the animations are great.
I wonder how you made this awesome growing branches ? You should provide the player with an incentive to grow the branches outwards though. The player has to grow the tree upwards to reach his goal, if i understand it correct?!?!
To prevent player from building a singel ugly straight branch up and to bring in another game mechanic, you could have fruits growing only on "horizontal" branches (max. 45° or something).
Keep up the good work, i can't wait for updates on this game.

Thanks for the feedbacks!

@Aurel :
I'm very impressed by the Next Penelope.
Your game actually encouraged me to keep on going with Construct 2.

I still haven't put videos on youtube, because I didn't have the time yet :P
I decided to communicate about the game just very recently. But I will post video on youtube asap.
I spent 3 months on the prototype, now.

@EpicPIxel :
The player will have all freedom to make an ugly branche if he wants :D. But the player will also have to explore the world horizontally. The talking tree will serve as a NPC to tell the player where the interesting places to explore are. The talking tree is more or less a quest giver. Fruits and flowers are part of the plan, each of them will provide upgrade or power-up items. The idea is to link the player skill tree, with the level design. The skill tree will be actually a tree.

That sounds great!
The character has to get back to the roots :D
and everything grows and evolves around this old talking tree.

Woah!
I am very impressed... everything looks very very good.
The only thing I could criticize is the running animation. I would straighten his leg on the floor contact pose and put the foot a bit more in front of his body.

(Sorry for the giant picture above... I couldn't find a smaller one.)

But feel free to ignore my babbling :).

To me It's the most beautiful c2-game so far.

@gorgonzola3000 Thanks for the kind words about Penelope! : )

Hey, I'll show how Construct2 works and how cool it can be at a dev event next week (here: http://eigd.org/fr/content/programme )
Would you be OK to send me a short video clip of the game so I can showcase it quickly?
I won't make any more use of it and delete it after that if you want to. But it would be a very nice demo of what can be achieved with C2.
