Javascript physic engine

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Hi Ashley,

are there any plan in the future to support a different physic engine other than box2dweb?

p2js for example is a pure javascript, super lightweight engine, that has some really nice performance.

I wonder if it could be integrated as a plug-in.

Just asking as it performs really well on mobile too

Who knows. It would be nice. But you can always create a behaviour now if you need it.

Some really cool features there... However, I'm seeing worse clipping than in box2d... and I feel as though Box2D's amount of clipping is a crippling defect...

We already support a new physics engine, the asm.js compiled version of box2d, available in the latest beta. I doubt any non-asm.js library could beat it performance-wise, it's close to native engines in speed.
