  • Hi

In the 8 directional movement, I'm thinking about making the player keep the direction the player facing by keep holding the shift button, any idea how to do that?

    thank you

  • Hello!

    Something like this?

Or even this to make it look a little better:)

    Hope that helps <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • I can open the files you sent, it's saying that you are using a newer version than mine , I check the website and it seems that they didn't update the free version yet.

But thank you for the reply and the files.

  • Try Construct 3

  • No problems:)

    First example

    And a second one

upd: my bad, you dont need "Every tick" condition in a second picture.

  • And by the way, that is strange. what version of C2 do you have?

    Try downloading latest beta release.

  • Thank you for the sheets but I think you misunderstood me.

the player should move freely, but when i press the shift button i need it to keep facing the direction until i release the shift button.

example : player is moving and now it's facing the top right then i pressed the shift button, the player should keep facing the top right but moving freely to any direction.

  • I'm pretty sure that is exactly what my examples do.. Am I wrong?:)

Did you try to recreate those events?

  • Yes it's working i think it didn't work because i didn't set the Angle to No.

And yes i just downloaded the latest version from the link you sent me.

Thank you so much for your help.

  • Anytime, mate :)
