Large number of objects - Spaceship Example

This particular example is quite demanding on the processor - it needs to loop all the ships and all the turrets and match them up each frame. However to speed things up, I only loop the ships on the screen, making it perform a lot better.

This is a very cool demo.
One question:
How can the screen be so big. I see only 1134x969 but it feels like it is much much more.

Oh in the layout properties I've checked 'no scroll boundary'. The layout itself is actually only 640x480 heh. However, the stars in the background are 1134x969... dunno why I went for those numbers :P And they scroll really slowly due to parallaxing, allowing them to stay on the screen for ages.

for some reason that .cap creeps me out.. I donno something about a little ball with a light traveling around through a dark space with all these ships pointing their things at you and rotating ever so slightly <.>

Haha now that you mention it your right it is creepy. Its the suspense because ur expecting they will fire at you at any moment :P
