Hey people

I am making a game, where i need the layout to go unlimited..
Until now, the layout have a width of 5000.
Instead of making a layout with a width of 1000000 and use many hours designing the level;

can i make the layout go unlimited with the 5000 width i have made?

I hope you guys understand what i mean!

depends upon the game type i think. you can make it "unlimited" by creating events that randomly spawn objects (or obstacles in say a runner) and having a tiled background i believe.

tiled background:
https://www.scirra.com/manual/118/tiled-background

Or if your background remains the same it can be on a layer separate from the elements that will spawn and (presumably) scroll and therefore you wouldn't need it to repeat.

Random spawning:
http://gamedev.tutsplus.com/tutorials/from-scratch/build-a-canabalt-style-infinite-runner-from-scratch/

It's not for construct, someone posted it the other day, the same principles can be translated over to construct though. Instead of platforms you could spawn objects or enemies.

also set "Unbounded Scrolling" to yes to the layout you want to scroll endlessly, so you no need to make the 5000 layout width
