Layout X, Y versus Sprite X, Y

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Sorry for the newb question. I started a 1080p landscape layout and I'm creating a splash screen. When I set the X, Y points for the size 1920 x 1080 background sprite to 0, 0 most of the sprite is out in the margin? I would have expected the background sprite to sit perfectly inside the layout dimensions that are also 1920 x 1080. I've tried looking at the project/layout/sprite properties to figure out what's going on. Anyone?

The origin point of a sprite is by default in the middle of the sprite. 0,0 is the top left of your layout. Try setting the sprite position to 960, 540, or going into the image editor and moving the origin point to the top left.
