Local Variables in the Debugger

Get help using Construct 2

How do I view local variables in the debugger? I can find the globals, but I need to keep an eye on some of the locals too. Can't find where they are listed.

You should see them if you click on the Instance in the list. Booleans show 0 for false and 1 for true.

If you click the little eye icon, it will put them on the watch list tab, under the instance's UID.

Can't find local variables in the debugger either. And I don't mean instance variables, but local variables.

One work around is to use the browser object and it's alert action to show the value of local variable. That's not suitable for every case though, especially if you are running big loops.

I could think of passing them in text object. Not straight but fine by me.

@alextro That's what I've ended up having to do. Thanks.

Oh wow, this still seems to be the case in the debugger. Yuck! I hope that changes soon.
