  • Hello, Scirra community.

Here i'm going to post a preview of my work in progress. I'm doing a little game named "Loco Mundi" using contruct. I'm more a game designer and artist than a programmer, but i'm doing my best for make a nice group of game mechanics that fulfill my ideas.

I don't wanna release any demo yet, cause is still really green and is more like a test of mechanics and graphics than a game right now... but i wanna show some little screens of what i'm doing.

I need to say that some pixels aren't mine (trees and money all the other is mine xD) and i'm using them just for test some codes and ideas.

and excuse if my english isn't the best

Btw, i found construct long time ago and check the forums regularly, but never posted something... don't ask me why.

  • Hardcore graphics - I love it

  • Love the style! Looking forwards to this

  • That's some sweet pixel art, man. Can't wait to play this.

    And welcome to the forums!

  • Thanks for the replies. The style of the protagonist is inspired from another pixel artist that i already asked if i can do my art based on it. Is quite simple and looks pretty good, But is really different of the one i ended doing XD

Well, a little more about the game. One of the base game mechanics is the double personality of the protagonist. He can transform himself in something like a hulk. Each personality have his own skills and game mechanics. While the slim one can jump, use ropes, solve puzzles, etc. the "berserk" one can move things, punch monsters and make them stop from moving for a sec, etc.

There is a lot of work to do... but is really fun.

  • NICE!

Kinda reminds me of the "Earthworm Jim" style of graphics in a way. Can't wait to get a hold of a playable demo of this! Keep it up, oh and welcome to the forums mate.

ool, I thought I recognised the style. Is it this dude http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/12646.htm? Looks like it'll be a very interesting game, the dark and sprawny characters remind me of something off a Tim Burton film maybe.

  • Yeah, SplatPixel. He let me us the style, thanks to god, because i already had done enough based on the style ... if the answer had been "no", everything again. don't wanna imagine that (hehehe).

The style is a little dark, but at same time, "strange" and "crazy"... let see if i can make it work with my story.

  • Beautiful! This sure seems like something to look forward to!

The fact that you don't throw an unplayable demo out here after 30 minutes of work makes me believe that this thing might actually be finnished! It looks like you've come quite far in the development! Menues, conversations, etc.. I'm really looking forward to this one!
