  • So here's what I've been doing for the past three days:

I love Ludum Dare, and I love Construct 2!

Tell me what you guys think, and also, if you can think of any way to make troll selection more intuitive, I'm all ears.

  • wow, very good, simple but really cool looking

i think a way to make it more intuitive without break the "ah - ha" moment of discovery and letting the player figure out things without hold hands; you could tell a simple tale about trolls at the beginning so the player know that trolls turn into rocks in contact with sun light; then you put the sun light in the first plane to pop out from the background, this way you could remove that "sun mark"... unless you want a more obvious approach

  • This looks really gorgeous! The gameplay itself is somewhat bumpy yet, but 3 days isn't really enough time to make a well-polished game. Are you gonna continue the development?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Yes I'm working on it now.

I can't get over the fact that the queen doesn't *always* and consistently clear the obstacle when she jumps.

This breaks my game for the time being, so I'm searching for solutions.

  • I like the concept and that pixel art is beautiful. Great stuff! As for making selection more intuitive, the only thing I can think of is an on-screen prompt before the first one is selected. The keybindings themselves seem fine, though it'd be nice if WASD also worked.

  • christina,

love the game, and agree with , that having the select icon automagically appear, after the queen has made her demands known, would be good.

glad you did not spoon feed. i enjoyed finding out from failure, how to succeed.

that's how we all should be taught in school.

    well done.

  • This looks amazing! It plays well too... I really enjoy these types of games, I'd really like to see it once you've added more :P Keep up the good work!

    Kind Regards

    Patrick
