MafeGames approved for Nintendo Developers Program

  • Hello everyone. I would first like to congratulate the entire team of Construct 2 for creating such a sophisticated program , which lets you create a fantastic projects, without programming . It is simply wonderful.

My name is Adrian Mariscal from Spain. In 2007 melts a small online company called MafeGames .

In our beginnings, we developed applications and games for Play Station Portable with the HTML . With the advent of HTML5 discovered a Construct 2 program and we were amazed . We have developed incredible projects, many of these projects have been released in stores for mobile applications .

For example ,'' Petty Planet First Land '' or the current project in development '' X - Infected '' already has a demo for Firefox OS and Android.

A couple of days ago, MafeGames was approved in development program Nintendo video game . We knew Construct2 was gonna to support the new Web Farmework Nintendo and when we receive notica that we had been approved, we are so glad .

Unfortunately , MafeGames is a company that does not have sufficient financial means for a minimum license Construct 2 , and as you know , is necesary a minimum license to use these services for Wii U exporter.

Thinking about how we could raise the funds necessary for the purchase of the license, we put ourselves in the hands of the user and have created a small campaign donations.

The goal of this campaign is the amount get 100 ? that are required to purchase the minimum license Construct 2 .

We promise to work hard on Wii U if we can raise the necessary funds , and create great projects.

That's why we ask the solidarity of the user and asked to contribute to this campaig.

Already they have raised ? 11.50 so far.

    Only you can help .

The amount of the donation is set by the user, to make a donation click here :

Thank you very much for your attention.

    Regards, MafeGames .

  • So how does one prove one has been approved to develop for Nintendo?

And why would you even sign up to develop using Construct 2 for Nintendo with out a license in the first place?

  • I don't see why someone would pay for a license that you're going to use to make money with... doesn't seem like a good investment to me.

You guys should save and invest in it. I payed for the license myself and I'm an individual. A company should be able to spare for such an affordable license.

  • alvarop

    I agree!

  • I agree with you. A developer would not be willing to pay the license to another developer.

But this campaign, is not aimed to developers contribute at , if not to the Contribution of the players.

At no time was announced Mafe Games as a business, but as a small online company. If we were a business, would not need such aid.

    Thanks

    A greeting!

  • Understood! Good luck, amariscal.

  • If you don't have the money to buy a construct 2 license how on earth will you find 4000$ that is rumored to be the cost of the dev kit?

    I smell something fishy here...

But good luck with whatever you are trying to achieve !

  • don't call yourself a company and ask for money to buy a license, it doesn't sound right, even if you ask it to the players, and it raises more questions then it answers, like all you current projects (that are released on stores) are done with the 100 event limit?

  • No one called MafeGames as a company.

Perhaps translations are errors on my part to try to describe our development group in Ingl?s.

It has acquired the Necessary hardware in development for Wii U, a very high cost.

We have no more money after buying the hardware development for wii u.

All our projects published on Google Play and other app stores have been released and designed with a limit of 100 events.

You can see nuestrsos work mafegames-es.blogspot.com

And if the campaign been created to raise the us totaling amount 100 ? .

  • LoL, does nintendo think you are a small company ?

    Damnit ... I should re-apply :

Nintendo doesn't care if you are a company. I made it perfectly clear I am just one guy building games in my basement and I got approved. It's best to tell the truth cause the lie will eventually catch up to you.

On a side note, I am assuming he is using Google Translate and I don't think everything is coming across correctly, but I do believe it is in bad taste to ask for donations for what everyone else paid for themselves. Just my $0.02.

Hell yeah, I was kinda annoyed really hehe.

But euhm, cos of this I did some nosing around for that wii-u dev kit.

Did you buy that 5k dev kit to develop for the wii-u ?

  • lennaert

    You know better than to ask that <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Actually ... I don't, and it isnt a strange question.

Seeing as there are more nintendo products, and you got your dev license way before this, perhaps you had gotten some license for whatever I don't know.

All I hear or read about this whole wii-u is vague and becoming more of an annoyance then an addition for me.

Also, I wonder what nintendo would feel about a guy trying to use a free version of construct 2 to get into commercial development for them .... rofl ...   (migth be some legal issues there)

Im betting they do care about it being a company or not.

Not to be a bitch, but the title of this thread kinda indicates that MafeGames is some sort game development company, at least thats the vibe I got from the title.

When I saw the inside I rofled though, and perhaps a bit envious :)

I'm sorry, didn't mean to come off a smartass, but I noticed you commented here: http://www.scirra.com/forum/how-to-find-out-more-about-the-wii-u-exporter_topic84885.html and assumed you knew that nothing can be discussed about the program.
