  • Hi,

I'm new to Construct 2 and I want to try and make a game for iPad/iPhone and possibly Android devices.

What I want to find out is the standards of the project for such devices. The thing I worry about the most is resolution. If I make it 2048x1536, which is the resolution of iPad retina display, how will it look on iPad 2/mini or an iPhone?

    Please share your wisdom.

    Thanks!

  • If you set screen size 2048x1536 and make fullscreen mode to scale. It will be fullscreen 2048x1536 and less resolution...

  • I would typically design for a 1024x768 resolution, which is compatible with all of the iPad versions, and then use Construct 2's scaling features to help it work on iPad mini's and android tablets. If your game's design is fairly simple, then it should still look fine when scaled down to iPhone's that have retina displays resolution.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Okay, but sounds like it won't look very crisp on iPad with Retina. Or if my art is high enough resolution, Construct will scale it properly and everything will look good and sharp?

    Thanks.
