Making Platform Behaviour less slippery?

Hi
how do I tell the platform behaviour to stop accelerating and decelerating when moving? I would like to create a platform game with the same level of control over stopping and starting as Castlevania and Megaman do.


any help would be appreciated

Have you tried changing the platform movement's acceleration and deceleration properties?

I changed Max Speed, Acceleration, and Deceleration all to the same value because I figured that would fix things but it hasn't.

Just put Acceleration and Deceleration to something big like 5000

What you want to tweak is primarily Deceleration compared to Aceleration. Try with the values and see the result. Try this values for a nice not-too-fast-not-slippery movement: Max Speed: 330 ; Accel: 1500 ; Decel: 2000 or 1500 for some slip. That's goog enough for most purposesKiyoshi2011-12-07 23:11:50
