New update!
Shooting is done! Just need some minor tweaks.
Animation is NOT being given much work right now, I'm focusing on the moviment mechanics. Next is probably the screen transition thing.

Thanks! And I'm sorry, but no.

As I mentioned in the first post, I will make the .capx downloadable, and I encourage you all to make it better or more convinient to your games or tests when it's done. But right now, this is something I want to finish for myself.

Also, I wouldn't want to have people using different and buggy versions of this engine. I want this to be the easiest (being C2) and best way to make a Mega Man based game you can find on the internet.

Sorry if it seems selfish, but I really want to feel like I could do a great engine on my own, of a game that I really like. It's been my dream to make a Mega Man X game since I was a kid, and this dream started to be possible a few months ago.

I might make a post with some ideas I had while developing Mega Man's movement mechanichs though.

And that is why you shall respect the bug reports guidelines, not only giving a capx is making the bug reproductible in one click in a situation they can work with (less time wasted trying to reproduce vague instructions) but also it helps filtering false positives.

Game design is all about decomposing the core of your game so it becomes simple instructions.

I just put some animations to feel a little more like Mega Man. It'd be too much for me to expect that a green rectangle walking around would feel like Mega Man. I think that can be done way ahead, so yeah.

Oddly enough, while adding the sprites to C2, I forgot to include the shooting in the air animation and just left it out anyway xDsiks2013-05-22 03:25:38
