  • I'm working on a Mega Man Fangame, and I need serious help.

I can make the base engine of Mega Man and keep the original feel.

I Just need Sprite Artists(I have the original MM Sprites so that's covered) Music Artists(Any good chiptune artist that makes Chiptunes for the NES and then convert to WAV fits perfectly) and some UI artists(like Title Screen, Menus, Etc.) If you want to help me, or are good at stuff like that, please post in here or drop me a PM.

I HAVE THE BASE ENGINE COVERED. I CAN DO THAT MYSELF! ALTHOUGH I MAY NEED HELP ON THAT.

Does Construct support Pixel perfect jumps(lol) and Healthbars(my best bet is make each bar of health all in one animation, and then do next frame-->stop animation then when the variable of health hits zero kill MM)

Is this too much to ask?

I'm just wanting some MORE MM Action after beating every MM Game on an emu(MM9 Included damn that one was hard)(using Six Axis so it's still kind of the same)

    Basically:

It's For MM Fans, By MM Fans

If you PM me, I will PM you going into great detail about what you should look for(like certain stages requiring certain themes, etc.)

    Also Boss List:

    Motor Man

    Lighting Man

    Skull Man

    Garden Man

    Desert Man

    Punch Man

    Millenium Man

    Zero Man(NOT RELATED TO ZERO)

    And of Course,

    Dr. Wily (Classic Saucer Included!)

  • Voted "Bad Idea."

Make your engine first. Ask for help as needed in the Help forum. Then go shopping around for artists and musicians.

It's highly doubtful anyone will help you unless you show your work first. Get the engine done, or at least playable, and then you'll have better luck.

Also, making mockups of the enemies and levels would give people an idea of what kind of look you're going for.

  • These 'team recruitment' posts are common across the internet. As deadeye suggested, people will take you a lot more seriously if you have put some work in to it yourself and have at least an engine to show. The more you've done yourself, the more likely it is someone will join your team.

  • Started working on the engine, making some mockups.

I have Kr!s for Music Now.

MADE A VERY BASIC PLATFORM ENGINE.

Basically it has the feel of MM(Instant Start/Stop, Pixel Perfect Jumps, etc.) But it can be tweaked further to keep that signature feel.

Hey, I said I could, not that I would.

That's why I asked you if you had any other means of contact, I want to know what have you done so far.

If it's way too incomplete, I might wait until you get a playable version before I start working on the music.

    this

  • Platform Engine is getting better, should I post what I have now?(It's a small square and it has working platforms with simple BG and no music, I think the movement feels MMish, it'd just be a simple test.

  • Ok, let's see what you have.

  • I'm a Mega Man nerd lolol

I'd gladly help if I can be of any assistance. A smaller project would be a better idea for me atm anyways...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Even though it's UNFINISHED and just a PLATFORM TEST I'd say that's what I'm using for MM's movement, as there is no Acceleration or Deacceleration(Set them both to 6000, also set air to that too)

    Here it is:

  • The jump is too rounded. Try bumping up the gravity and jump strength to make more of a pointy peak in the jump. Mega Man has a rather triangular jump.

The accel and decel feel pretty close though.

  • I'm kinda confused as to why you would need anybody to do art or music or...well anything besides programing. I thought that was one of the good parts about blatantly riping off someone else's game, all the music, sound effects, animation ext. are already done.

as far as making you own bosses, just steal them like you do with every thing else and just add some stuff

its DILDO MAN....Bu dum bump.. bu dum bump.. bu da da da da DA

    See its easy.

  • Oh LOL

  • My Computer was hit by a virus(WinQuake) and I had to reformat. Sorry, I lost it all. I'll restart progress. It's NOT dead.

  • Oh the importance of backing up your hard drive occasinally...

Nobody ever does it until its too late...
