Mikey's Adventure & Else Condition

Hello,

I've been learning Construct over the past few days, using some of the great tutorials on this site. In particular, I'm finding Mikey's Adventure educational, however I am running into a problem in part 3 of the tutorial.

It seems to me that the "Else" conditions aren't working as they should. I am new to this, so I'm not certain this is the cause %100. But I've had problems with the Else function when the guards are hitting Mikey (which were solved after I added the star), and now I am having problems activating Mikey's power once I get the star. It seems that the magic_glow variable isn't changing.

I've compared my code to the code in the tutorial file, and it seems identical, so I'm not sure why it isn't working in my file.
