Hey guys sorry I haven't been online in ages, I've only just got internet back and my own place (been living illegally with my girlfriend :P ) anyways a little while ago me and a few mates competed in the global game jam competition in Perth. Amazingly there was also another team there that were using Construct! It was an awesome experience, got to meet lots of new cool people, and i'll definitely be going again next year :)

The theme was deception. The original idea for our game was that the world you saw was a deception...and you had to use the 'truth' spray to uncover the true level. However, in later levels, there would be conflicts with the sign writer and the truth spray...for example the sign might say 'this platform exists, jump on it and no harm will come to you' but if you use the truth spray, it causes the platform to disappear....so sometimes you need to trust things and sometimes you might choose the harder path instead...

But yeah...only 48 hours...didn't quite get as far as making a full game >.< so it ended up just being one level. Oh and the ending is just for lols.

Anyway, the artwork was all mine except the character, so play it and enjoy :) Was made in Construct of course!

Yay, David's back :). Congrats on the new place.

I dig your Game Jam game. The concept is cool, reminds me of that hacker-platformer thing you made a demo of a while back, where you see the "real" platforms in hacking mode. I think the bees are kind of hard to kill though :P.

That's a beautiful little game. I love the whole spray/reveal effect. :D

I hope we will see some more levels since the concept is so much fun and has huge potential!

First of all, sweet game, and I instantly recognized the style to be yours.

So I'm playing , all of a sudden I meet the wasps without wings, and start getting hit. To my surprise my 360 controller which is lying on the floor just starts rattling around. Oh hey, he added gamepad support! I pick it up, start spraying around and aiming, press every button and combination imaginable but DAMMIT I CAN'T MOVE OR JUMP! I assume this was all part of the "deception" theme.

Good idea and well executed for 2 days. Construct is the best tool for 2 day game compos.

Haha, same thing happened to me, only my controller was sat on the desk. wood desk + sudden vibrating controller = jump a couple of inches into the air from shock.

Really cool game, and nice idea. My mate won this competition, I think they've been in Glasgow. It's cool that construct being promoted in such a big gigs like this.
Anyway, is there a chance to get cap? or maybe just to explain how the spray thing works?!
Cheers.
