Another 2d game engine:

I Think you can make the same animations with the normal bone movement that comes with construct

The path mesh I think could be recreated using the ribbon plug in from CC and sprite distortion.

I actually offered a helping hand with this project because it looked interesting and in my line of work, but they didn't seem to have anything set up so people could easily get involved.
