More platform monster issues.

Get help using Construct 2

So I have it set up, that once the monster dies it plays an animation then destroys itself, though while the animation is playing he can still kill the player. Been thumbing through all the platform options and unless i missed something cant get it to disable before the animation starts to play. Ideas?

Another thing was with weapons, trying to put in a delay for how fast you can shoot, tried using the wait timers, or adding in longer animation making them wait till it finishes but nothing.

In the event where your boss deals damage to the player, add another condition 'Is animation "Dying" playing' and invert the event (right click or press I). This way the boss will only deal damage if that animation is not playing.

Here's an example of delay, wait is not reliable for this kind of thing:
