I dunno what's wrong, but don't you have a back up file? Does any other project open?

I have a backup but it I made a lot of optimisation changes that are all lost. The backup opens, the other projects open, it just seems this one has become corrupt or something.

A CAPX is just a ZIP file. Copy the file and change the extension to ZIP. Try extracting it and see if the project can be opened that way. Maybe you can salvage some parts.

To my knowledge, C2 makes backups at fixed intervals that you can specify in the app.'s preferences. So yer back up might not have lost too much.VampyricalCurse2013-01-06 00:06:09

@mcdan if your using Windows 7 yet you could try this:

http://www.scirra.com/forum/help-construct-2-froze-capx-broken-now_topic49305_post310225.html?KW=Previous+Versions#310225

But if your using Windows 8, and don't have File History set up this probably won't work. But if you do here is some info on how restore your files to a previous version when it was last working:

Windows 8 File History Feature replaces Previous Versions and Backup and Restore

How to Use the New File History Feature in Windows 8

Unfortunately the last backup it made was from too long ago.

A cool little feature though, thanks for that!
