  • The new color settings are great. C2 looks shnazzay.

    However, a few are missing.

There are some problems, including going back and forth between dark and light areas is sort of like turning on a bright light in a dark room, and getting the event editor to look right made the event/layout tabs difficult to read.

I don't know how much control you have over the colors - I had to use C2's color preferences, the office 2007 black style and set the colors in windows>personalize>window color and appearance to get it looking like this. However, it would be great if the remaining colors could be set too if possible so we could get a unified appearance like photoshop elements has - even better if we could get it looking like that without having to set the colors of windows itself.

Thanks for listening to us and implementing it in the first place! Even as it is, it's significantly improved. :)

  • Arima Hi I must be missing something.

I thought the idea would be that the colour in the edit box would also be used to display text in the event sheet. I just get black. I have gone through the colour definitions and colours are being used.

  • I'm afraid I don't know what you mean? The new color settings in r131 allow setting the colors for a lot more of the ui. Perhaps you missed its release today?

  • I think what czar is saying is that he thought the update would allow users to change the colours of the events, like colour-code them however we want: red for testing, green for debug, blue for UI elements, or whatever.

I honestly thought this update was going to bring that; guess I read wrong too.

  • Arima see how the edit box has the code nicely colour coded? I was expecting the entire event sheet to be coded in the same way. It would certainly help with readability. In my experience thatis how most IDEs work.

  • I agree with everything

and dark theme = best theme

Also I noticed that the unselected event border colour is the same as:

    event number

    event branch lines

    inactive group text (not disabled)

    +add action links

Would be nice to set these separately.. along with having different selected/unselected event text.

speaking of those '+add action links', it doesn't seem to permanently disable them. On loading a new sheet, the first thing I do is disable them, it looks a lot cleaner without them.

Also, you should disable that main 'ribbon' bar.. as you can add the buttons you need straight onto the quick access bar... check it out:

Ah, I see what you're saying now.

    Agreed.

I do have it disabled, I just opened it up to show its color isn't changeable.

  • Where do you get the dark theme from ? or do you made it by your own ?

If yes, would you like to spread it? - The one I made looks like s*** -

  • Just a note some other members have already shared custom theme colors in that topic.

  • Uhh thanks, but arimas looks much better ;)
