  • Try them out, let me know if any problems or issues. If you have any more suggestions for demos, post them here - it would be cool if we had some small, simple, fully playable games as demos as well, so if anyone's up for making one, I would happily put it up.

  • Thats great! Now people can be given examples of the power of Construct without searching the forums. Would be nice if they had caps included or came as templates inside Construct though, so people can see how easy it is to accomplish the effects.

  • Can't edit, but wanted to say that it seems the "New Demos" post on the website has covered up the 0.97.4 release and so people who arrive on the site are downloading an old version of Construct

  • Oops, fixed that, thanks!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Sweet!

One thing that I've thought about is that there's almost 100% graphical tech-demos on the scirra page. People who don't know much about game making in this kind of program (that means most people) won't really understand the whole point of it. Former clickers will think it seems good, but most people won't understand that you actually make whole games of it and that it's really easy to learn and to use. We need a game to be finished so we can put it up!

  • Lush.

  • I think the raw cap files should be added to the downloads so that regular users can see how some effects are done and new users can start to learn and make things look decent.

  • Huh, the Lightning archive seems to be damaged. I think that the .caps should be released too, with author's permission, as I'm quite interested in how some of these are made.

  • Nearly all of them are available as caps in the uploads section. Just search.

  • Uploading .caps is a great idea, I'll get that done as soon as my ISP can provide a semblance of service. Also you're right, the lightning one is corrupt, will fix as well.

  • Skybox doesn't seem like it would be a skybox. Does the background move? I might try it out later if it does. Seriously, though, very nice demo selection.

Why doesn't it seem like it would be a skybox?

  • As suggested, most demos now have a .cap file up - should be able to get one for the raindemo up soon too.
