Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Jesus, sounds like most here can pull better framerates with Doom3 than they can with this 2D demo (I know there's a big technical difference). Just placing it into perspective...

Yeah, I don't think It's my pc specs. Was playing Skyrim on Ultra before testing out the demo. AMD graphics card if that helps.

I've mentioned this before, but just to repeat - there is a known performance issue with Awesomium, and I'm trying to get them to fix it. However the Awesomium team have a lot of other priorities so I'm not sure when they'll get round to it.

If the performance issue is resolved, Awesomium should *always* be faster than the Chrome browser. However due to the performance problem some machines (usually lower-end or older computers) end up slower than the Chrome browser. Again, we know why this is and what needs to be done, so hopefully it can be fixed soon.

I do remember that now that you mention it. Figures with my luck I fall into that category. -__-

+ Finally runs without downloading anything from the web.
+ Uses its own datafile to load graphics and effects.
+ Fluid framerate.

Just what we have been waiting for!

Now the only thing remaining for beginning serious development is the enlargement of the parameters text input, for older people so we don't tire our eyes typing in the formulas currently displayed with a tiny font.

Good work! Waiting for developments.
