This is an interesting development. It would be nice if we could play HTML 5 games on XBOX through Internet explorer with the kinect. I have a funny feeling they will try to block games but really Im not sure how it can be done.

If IE can run the games properly by then, this could be interesting.

With such promised tight integration between Windows 8 and Xbox, the Windows 8 app store might let people buy and run games in Xbox. After all, its only HTML5!

Something to keep track of. Maybe even a reason to buy an Xbox.

Also, don't forget there's always the big possibility of mods to unblock stuff like this if they were to block it.

IE9 isn't bad for HTML5 games, at least it's hardware-accelerated. This certainly is interesting, I'm not sure what the HTML5 game experience will be though (will you need to browse to a web page first or can it be packaged in to a game PhoneGap style?) - however it's promising for the next XBox, which might have even better HTML5 support.

I suppose they will make it like a Marketplace. Kind of like Xbox Live Arcade. It will definitely be in some sort of wrapper.
