Hi C2, Do you know when approx the next stable release is planned?

If its soon, ill start new project with R102, if its not ill stick with R95.

Is there a provisioal list of features planned for next stable release (delta from current stable release)?

Thanks!

The features of the stable releases will be the features that were implemented since r95. The stable is a release that marks those features as stable whereas beta means the features can be bugged/need to be tested.

So check the changelog pages from r96 to the current r102 beta releases to see what features will be in the next stable. (Ashley generally makes a complete changelog page for the stable release)

Ashley said he wants to provide a stable release within the next week or two, it's just a goal.

@nutmix

Since the agenda right now appears to be focused on finishing a stable release, the features you find in r102 (the current beta), are probably, basically, the features you can expect in the stable release. Note that release 95 (last stable release) only had 4 changes in the changelog.

I think it is likely the next release, within a week or so, will be stable. It will only contain minor bug fixes on top of r102 and no major new changes. So I would recommend starting with r102.

To see all changes since r95, check the changelogs inbetween (r96, r97 etc)

Are there likely to be any compatibility problems in transitioning a project from c95 to c102?

@foolberry - there may be some if you are affected by the breaking changes - see the intervening changelogs for more, or the stable build's release notes when it's out.
