I thought that C comunity might find this interesting.

According to thedaily.com, Nintendo is planning to have an app store for the Wii U that will have software beyond the normal offerings of what is currently available on the Wii and the 3DS.

The digital store on the 3DS does currently offer a few things outside of games like Mario themed calculators, and alarm clocks, but apparently the Wii U will offer far more. It makes sense that Nintendo would be interested in expanding the software of the Wii U consider its controller has more capabilities beyond that of just gaming.

Thanks to Brandon for the news tip!

Nice, if true. I wonder if they'll let people without an office actually develop for the thing though... I'm guessing not, considering their comments in the past about not being interested in working with garage developers.

Probably not, however if the game will become succesful then who knows? If they would have modern online infrastructure they would pinch minecraft probably already. But they did that with cave story, vvvvvv bit trip etc.
