No difference between standard & brute!

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Hi all
I've tried both standard and brute PNG recompression when exporting and no difference at all in the final result.

Is this normal?

Varies. Sometimes there is a big difference, sometimes none. If graphics are simple (your sig for eg), you probably won't gain anything with brute.

FYI, 8bit is a good bit smaller than 24bit. C2 can do that, but I like this tool better:

PNGoo: http://pngquant.org/

Free batch converter, using same algo as kraken.io/TINYpng.

Brute mode could save anywhere from 0-5% on the file size, and takes several times longer to process, so generally it's not worth it.

You know what, if you want to, you can send me your sound files, and I can compress them in such a way, that they will still sound good, but take much less memory.

I can do the same! Just saying :) I use Adobe Audition in case you're interested, it's a professional grade software!

Let me know if you need anything. :D
